NEUROCLIMA was presented on May 27, 2025, during the 2025 BioMed AI Summer School at the IARC/WHO Headquarters in Lyon, France, that was co-organized by Truenique, a consortium partner, and generated significant interest, especially among participants with backgrounds and expertise in computer science, biotechnology, and academia. Many expressed enthusiasm about engaging in future NEUROCLIMA workshops and participating in beta testing activities for our digital tools.
The presentation used was the short version of the Digital Blueprints one used in the April 29th workshop and an online poll conducted during the
session, despite the limited 40-minute timeframe, indicated strong interest in gaining hands-on experience with the NEUROCLIMA platform. Several participants noted the need for additional time to interact with the tools online and explore their full functionality in a future workshop. Although not all attendees opted to sign the consent forms, the use of a single Google Form streamlined the process and proved efficient. All in all, 20 participants representing 12 countries signed the consent form and 42 participated in the poll, representing Educators, Policy-makers, Researchers, Scientists and Students.
Academic participants expressed particular interest in using NEUROCLIMA Lens to support introductory climate change research training, citing the challenge of fragmented educational material in this area. Additionally, two EU-funded projects nearing completion showed interest in hosting their course content on NEUROCLIMA Learn. Some policy-makers from the European Parliament expressed their interest in hosting a workshop for MEPS when the NEUROCLIMA digital tools are ready.
Additionally, a workshop during next year’s BioMed AI Summer School, which will be co-organized at UZA in Antwerp, has been slated to take place and offer a more in-depth presentation of our tools.
