On April 29, 2025, NEUROCLIMA held its first public online workshop, titled “Climate Resilience Blueprints: A First Look at NEUROCLIMA’s Digital Solution.” The event was hosted by the Greek partner IASIS and brought together participants from 24 countries and various professional backgrounds. Many attendees were educators, policy-makers, researchers, and civil society actors with an interest in climate adaptation and digital education tools.
The session focused on two main areas:
- Key results from Work Package 3, including Deliverables D3.1 and D3.3, which address behavioural and systemic change.
- Early versions of NEUROCLIMA’s digital tools, developed under Work Package 5.
and participants provided valuable feedback through live polls and chat discussions.
A total of 51 people attended the session live. The group included:
- Educators (42%)
- Government and policy staff (19%)
- Journalists and media professionals (19%)
- Researchers, facilitators, and others (27%)
Live feedback showed that the digital tools were seen as useful, accessible, and relevant. Specific comments included:
- NeuroClimaLens was appreciated by teachers and journalists for supporting climate education.
- NeuroClimaBot was praised for its simplicity and multilingual access.
- NeuroClimaDialogues was recognised for encouraging group dialogue and decision-making.
- NeuroClimaLearn attracted attention from two EU-funded projects interested in sharing their educational content through the platform.
Several participants expressed interest in joining future workshops or taking part in tool testing. Others asked about the use of NEUROCLIMA tools in schools or formal educational settings. A few policy experts also noted the potential for hosting a dedicated session for Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) when the tools are fully developed.
A new workshop is already being planned for Autumn 2025, with a stronger focus on hands-on interaction and feedback from educators, community actors, and EU-level stakeholders.
The full recording of the session is now publicly available here.
