This pilot, implemented in Greece by IASIS, brings together educators, students, youth workers, and citizens to explore how climate knowledge, emotional engagement, and behaviour change can be fostered through the NeuroClima Hub. Working across both formal education and community settings, the pilot examines how digital tools, creative methodologies, and structured learning pathways can support climate awareness, meaningful engagement, and sustainable action in everyday life.
Who is involved?
The pilot engages two key groups:
Educators from formal and non-formal education settings
Students and learners (aged approximately 15+), including upper secondary, vocational, university, and adult learners
Youth workers and community facilitators supporting non-formal learning
Adult citizens from local communities
Participants come from varied educational and socio-economic backgrounds, primarily in urban and semiurban areas in Greece. No prior expertise in climate science, artificial intelligence, or digital platforms is required. Participation is voluntary.
What is being tested in this pilot?
This pilot addresses key gaps in both education and community engagement, including:
The need for accessible and adaptable climate education tools
The challenge of connecting climate knowledge to everyday decisions and behaviours
Integrating behavioural and social dimensions into communication and decision-making
The importance of addressing climate emotions such as anxiety, uncertainty, or disengagement
The role of educators and community facilitators in supporting meaningful climate dialogue
Through participation, the pilot aims to:
Increase climate awareness and literacy
Build confidence in discussing and teaching climate issues
Encourage sustainable behaviours at individual and community levels
Foster emotional engagement and a sense of collective responsibility
