The Department of Design of the Politecnico di Milano is home to a multidisciplinary team of researchers which are working across diverse fields such as public management, digital transformation, healthcare, sustainability, communication design and data visualisation.
The organisation excels in applied research and service design by addressing user needs, experience design and organisational change. Moreover, its experience in public sector innovation is demonstrated through many projects that combine both UMAP and top-down approaches by leveraging service design, design thinking and participatory design methodologies.
In NeuroClima, the role of the Department of Design of the Politecnico di Milano is quite crucial as project coordinator and as leader of multiple tasks. For example, one of tasks is dedicated to framework exploration and assessment related to scaling dynamics in behavioural change. In addition, Politecnico di Milano is also leading one of the project’s pilots, with two different use cases, dedicated to implement behavioural change through blended learning tools, participatory design experience, and interactive storytelling.
