NeuroClima gathered in Athens to prepare the project’s next phase

On November 21st and 22nd, 2024, the NeuroClima Consortium partners gathered in Athens, at the Impact Hub, for a two-day meeting filled with fruitful and collaborative discussions to prepare the design and implementation of the project pilots and to ensure the success of the upcoming phases of the project.

The first day delved into the work developed by the project to establish a common vision for rethinking the climate imperative. Additionally, a keynote presentation on the EU Ocean Mission and its connections to climate policy, delivered by Spyros Kouvelis, Board Member of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters. The synergies between EU Missions are crucial to ensure the much needed coordinated action when tackling a multidimensional topic such as climate change.

Staying truth to our project’s essence of collaborative development and co-creation, an interactive workshop on the project’s use cases scenarios walkthroughs was held, since the next year will be marked by the development and implementation of the two pilots. It was followed by a presentation on the technical, operational and interoperability specifications and reference architecture of the NeuroClima’s tools and solutions.

The second day was dedicated to an overview of the project’s technical KPIs, followed by a presentation of the communication, exploitation and dissemination efforts made so far. The activities carried out aimed to ensure common goals, objectives, results and means of achievement, as well as, how to best exploit the available resources to fulfil the KPIs assigned to specific objectives.

The NeuroClima consortium is looking forward to continuing working together to maximise the awareness to climate change adaptation and resilience, while providing innovative solutions and tools to a wider range of stakeholders and communities.
